vermicompost is a nutrient-rich organic material produced through the process of composting with the help of earthworms, specifically red wigglers (Eisenia fetida) or other suitable species. This method of composting is often referred to as vermicomposting or worm composting. A container, such as a wooden box or plastic bin, is set up to house the earthworms. It should have proper aeration and drainage to maintain the right conditions for composting.
